Residential Service

AVAILABLE:

This schedule is available in all territory served by HWL for residential customers.

APPLICABLE TO:

This rate shall be applicable to all single-family residences and duplex dwelling units.  All multi-family dwellings shall be defined as commercial customers.

DEFINITIONS:

1. City Rates.  “City Rates” are those which shall be charged to all properties connected to the water system which are located within the Corporate Limits of Hope.

2. Rural Rates.  “Rural Rates” are those which shall be charged to all properties connected to the water system which are located beyond the Corporate Limits of Hope.

NET MONTHLY RATE:

CALCULATION OF WATER BILL:

The total water bill shall be the sum of the base rate, which is calculated on the Customer’s installed meter size; plus, the commodity charge, plus any applicable taxes.  Charges for water consumption shall be billed to the nearest one thousand gallons of consumption.  

TERMS OF PAYMENT:

Customers who pay within 10 days of the date of the bill will pay the CURRENT BILL computed on the Net Monthly Rate.  Bills paid after 10 days from the date of the bill will include a late payment charge of ten percent (10%) of the CURRENT BILL.
